This is sketchy.

Maybe my doctor is just not very good at his job... Or idk. But I went into the doctors thinking I had hypothyroidism. After he looked at my list of symptoms and my family history, he noticed sleep apnea, and Ovarian issues runs in the family. He said i will have to do a sleep study for sleep apnea, but I most likely have it due to my symptoms and the fact that three other people have it in my family for three generations straight.
Then he said that my other symptoms are from PCOS. My history, family history and slightly odd cycles prove that I have it. But he said "there are no tests to determine for sure if you have it. Ultrasound of the ovaries is an option, but since you are not trying to conceive it's not necessary. " when I asked what there is to do to treat PCOS or prevent it from getting worse he said nothing. There is no treatment and it's just something I'll have to live with. I should be as healthy as I can, and when I want to conceive that I should see a doctor to have a game plan, but other than that there is nothing they can do.
Is what he's saying true?
It's hard to believe that this is happening to me... While my husband and I don't want to start conceiving for another 3 years, it's always been my dream to be a mother and I'm scared that now it is just going to remain that... A dream. Is there really nothing j can do?
