I've been in a serious relationship for 9 months now and my mom is nervous about me getting pregnant and plans to get me on a birth control soon. I'm 16 and I have extremely heavy periods and my periods are usually just bad all around so I want something with hormones and I researched the IUD for a long time and all I have ever seen is people talking badly about it. I don't really have the lifestyle to be bleeding for a month to a year straight but the idea of the pill is extremely unappealing, I'm very forgetful and I oversleep a lot and taking it on a set routine wouldn't really work out. So I'm wondering if the shot or ring or whatever would be a good option? And I want to hear the pros and cons of what some of y'all have experienced with birth control. :)
