How to tell if labor is near?

I've been having off and on bloody show and cramping, could that mean I could go into labor soon? Or will it be like this for 2 more weeks? I'm 38 weeks and 3 days...

I would not go to the hospital for some light bleeding... You could be there awhile and you are much more likely to be given uneccesary interventions if you go in too early. Wait until you have strong regular contractions that are 5 min apart or less that last more than 1 min. If you have a lot of bleeding, or bright red blood call your doctor.
