White line on my pregnancy test??

I took a pregnancy today because I was supposed to start my period today and didn't. When the time was up it looked like there was a white line there but it didn't show up in pictures. I kept trying to look at different angles to make sure my mind wasn't playing tricks. But it looked like a white line not a faint pink one. What do you think that means?
