Not feeling contractions?

Question

So i was on the NST machine this morning (38+3) and had 2 contractions.. I haven't felt any contractions yet and literally felt nothing with these, not even tightening. Nothing at all.. Is that normal?

With my 1st I didn't feel contractions until i was around 7 or 8 cm.

I am 37+5 and get weekly NST's and weeks 34 and 35 the midwives were telling me that I was contracting every six minutes. I couldn't feel a thing. I hope that's and indication of how my labor will go!!! These past weeks there was nothing regular down on the NST. One of the midwives suggested that I increased my water intake and that seems to have stopped the phantom contractions.

Same thing happened at my NST yesterday. I think I have been in a constant state of a Braxton hick. My stomach is always tight and there is always pain pressure but no cramp like feelings much. I asked the lady to tell me when she sees a contraction pop up and she would and I would just be like, oh, good to know. I was also sent to get the NST because I can't feel my baby move because of how right and painful the pressure of my belly and pelvis already are. It's very confusing and sure, it will make labor easier but I'm also scared I won't know when is when lol
