Please help.... Why isn't my line getting darker if I am?

I recently had the same happen. They told me its a chemical pregnancy after testing my hcg level and I haven't even started my period yet.... 
I hope this isn't happening to you but it so common. If it is, I'm very sorry. I've had 4 and its devastating.
