Ok so I know this topic is touchy but I'm very conflicted. 
Last year I was raped by my ex boyfriend. Six months later I was sexually assaulted by another ex. I have never told anyone this except recently to my boyfriend of 2 years. We've been talking about sex recently but he's scared it might be a trigger and he's also worried constantly about doing something that might hurt me. What should I do/say to him?

Hey, I was also sexually assaulted by an ex. It was extremely difficult to try to get over the trauma. Luckily the guy I'm in a relationship now was very understanding and helped in every way possible. We eased in to things. It didn't trigger anything because I knew that the guy I'm with respects me and loves me. Maybe knowing that the ex did it out of hatred and the guy your with now loves you and cares for you might help you, it helped me get through it.

Have you seen a therapist about the assaults? If so ask them for advice. A professional would have better advise than us. The only thing that I can tell you is to make sure there is plenty of communication between you both. In comfort levels and what you want to do to each other.

My boyfriend was worried about the same thing. I told him that I will say if I don't like some. He understands the situation how it happened so anything in that way is a no. One day you will have a day when u feel safe and forget for awhile
