Fiancé doesn't care about my feelings.
We decided to get married at our baby shower in March, in order to surprise everyone, and also because we don't care about having a big wedding. His sister was supposed to plan everything, but i stepped in because she wanted to have 50 people crammed into her house. So i did a lot of research and found a hall that we can rent. It was perfect! But now they want us to buy liability insurance because my man and his family want alcohol. God forbid they don't drink for four hours at 11 am on a god damn sunday, but whatever. Since its MY baby shower/wedding, i asked my man to ask his sister to pay for the INSURANCE ONLY and he said no! His sister was supposed to plan everything but so far she has done nothing, Now my fiance and i are fighting because he wants to make HER happy and have the party at her place and doesn't want to spend money to make me happy by renting a hall. I don't even want to do it anymore! There's not enough room for 50 people.
UPDATE 1****We are doing a wedding at the same time to SAVE MONEY. His sister isn't even paying for invitations, paper plates, or cups and utensils. All she wants to do is host at her place. I'm responsible for everything else. In the history of baby showers the mother was never responsible for paying AND planning everything. the wedding is only a small portion of what's happening that day. We are getting married by his aunt in between lunch and opening gifts, no wedding dress, no bridal party, nothing elsr but exchange of vows and rings. I am NOT being entitled or a brat because I don't want to get married in her house. I'm not asking my sister in law to pay for the hall!!!!!!!, I'm asking for her to chip in for liability insurance since she and her family will be drinking!!! My fiancé doesn't want to pay for the hall he wants to do everything at his sisters house. That's what I'm upset about! UPDATE 2*******Also, for your information, the majority of the guests are all his friends and family. You know how many people are coming for me? 9!! I get 9 people, but I'm supposed to pay for all of his family to drink alcohol? I wont be drinking and neither will my 9 guests. His sister can pay $200 to drink. I can't believe the comments I'm getting 😂
