So happy to see AF! First one after D&C!
I went through a D&C on November 10. I had found out three days before that my first baby had no heartbeat and most likely stopped growing just after we had heard his heartbeat for the first time.
It's been a very trying time for me. My sister is pregnant and was just two weeks behind me. We were so excited to spend our maternity leave together. The miscarriage shattered all those hopes and dreams. Tomorrow we find out the sex of my sister's baby. I can't help but think that we would have also been finding out my baby's sex as well.
About a week ago I also lost my job as the company I was working for for the past almost three years went bankrupt. I really just needed something good to happen in the midst of all this sadness, pain, and confusion...and then today I got my first AF after the surgery! I have never been so happy to see it! And never thought that my AF would be a like a light at the end of the tunnel!
We were going to hold off TTC until I find a job but I have a few good prospects so we will continue with our plan. It took us over four months to conceive before so it might take that long or more to conceive again.
For those wondering how long it took me to get my AF, I usually have 26 day cycles. It took me 30 days to get it after the D&C. Based on temps I seem to have ovulated, but had a short luteal phase of 7 days.
