I want kids, but I'm so afraid to have one. Am I the only one who thinks like this?

The thing is... I love kids and I do want them. It's just the whole pregnancy and childbirth that gives me pause. I have heard so many beautiful and horror stories that I'm just a little apprehensive.  I'm 28 and I feel like I need to decide before it is to late and I can't have any.

I think it depends....I was scared when I found out for my first one..but now I'm not scared. I'm older and have been through it so I know it's a breeze :-)

I have little boy and I definitely want another some days. Other days I remember the lack of sleep and the amount of money it takes. Daycare. Diapers, formula etc. But deep down I want a blessing. I tried for a year with my ex. We had no luck. And im only 24, but an independent woman.

Kids are terrifying, challenging and they are huge responsibilities. But they're also blessings, half you half your SO and they are the best thing to happen to you. They're real miracles.

Pregmancy is not much fun. I enjoyed the baby-movement with my son, but that was all. I was pretty miserable the whole time. The delivery (c-section) was the worst pain of my life. ALL OF IT WAS WORTH IT, though. 
It is by far worth the pain and lack of sleep. I am now pregnant with my second. I am so sick all the time. I know it will be worth it. My husband wants 3 kids. I told him we will have to adopt the third, because I am not going through this again! Lol

I feel the same way. I want to have kids so bad. A mini me? Heck yea! But... Pregnancy scares me a little, & then the poop everywhere, the spit up, the spending so much money on diapers & food... Not to mention they get older & the older they get, they develop little attitudes & I fear that I will have a cocky child...

But then.. You experience so much love & joy & happiness with a child & you see you & your partner in them & wow...

But I can't think too much on it... I'm only 18.

I feel the SAME way!  There are other options to have children too, like adoption!
