I cheated on my girlfriend in the very beginning. Before we were serious.

Now I want to ask her to be my wife. But I feel the need to come clean. But I'm afraid it will damage our relationship. I've been faithful ever since we actually started calling ourselves boyfriend and girlfriend. It was a one time thing , when I was a stupid frat boy. Should I come clean? Or since it was so long ago and we are very happy now, keep my mouth shut?
