Frustrated with NSTs & blood pressure

Sydney
So I've hit 36 weeks carrying my twin girls! I'm feeling very blessed about that. However, my job as an X-ray tech is too strenuous and was causing my blood pressure to go pretty wacky and my doctor very recently insisted no more work until they are born. That in itself was tough for me to swallow because I had it set in my head I was going to work up until the day I delivered!
Now, since she has taken me off work (bc of my blood pressure) I will be going for my THIRD NST tomorrow afternoon, all 3 within the span of 4 days total (since she took me out of work). What is consistently happening is, when I'm sitting normally, maybe even a touch laid back, just relaxing, my blood pressure reaches around 130ish/90ish. Which is not great and WAY above my own normal. So what the staff does is they have me lay on my left side and continue readings; this makes my blood pressure go WAY down, in a healthy respect; Usually around your typical 120/80, sometimes lower.
I'm just frustrated because I feel like A) no kidding it went down when you laid me down and to the left, all the pressure is off of any organ or vessel so my heart, understandably so, isn't working as hard and B) how many of these things, resulting almost exactly the same each time, am I going to have to take!? Do I need to be on bed rest, can I continue being active, are you just going to induce me, what the heck!? I feel like I'm really stuck in this continuous NST limbo with no new information.
Ugh, ok, pregnant hormone rant over. 🙄😑
