cervix question!!!

so I was feeling for my cervix today (I'm on day 27/29) and I am not sure if I found it or not... I had my finger in all the way and I felt something that felt like cartilage, but there was an opening on one side that I could push my finger into a little ways. has anyone else encountered this or is there something wrong?
