Birth control for PCOS?
Hey ladies. I'm new to this topic. I actually can't stand birth control. I can go into detail later, but I want to get right to the question. If anyone has PCOS, has birth control helped? Anyone have relief from painful, heavy periods? Spotting in between? Not getting periods for months at a time?
* I hate birth control because I've had heavy menstration since Aunt Flo graced me with her presence. I tried two different kinds of birth control by the time I was 16 and I wasn't even sexually active. I took the Depo shot -- gained 30 lbs and it didn't help with anything. I was on birth control when I got married mainly because I wanted to know when my AF would show up, preferably not on my honeymoon, BUT THAT HAPPENED ANYWAY. Florida + AF = ew and sad. Sooo yeah I hate birth control. But I want relief from my stupid, unpredictable PCOS symptoms. My underwear is getting stained with spotting that literally never shows up whenever I wear a liner. Only when I take it off.
