Did you ever get your mouth washed out with soap?

Parents getting their kids taken away for putting soap in their kids mouth after saying nasty words. Suing your own parents for doing so when you were a kid. All crazy to me. I got soap in the mouth a couple of times growing up and i learned fast not to say "bad words". I really dont see the harm in it. Chlorine is a worse Chemical to ingest but we still use it in pools and kids get a mouthful of it every once in awhile.
