Is it too soon?

My son is almost 2 weeks old and my boyfriend and I would like his mom to watch him tonight so we can go out to eat and get some us time..is it too soon to be going out? I feel bad leaving him😞 she begs us to come over and let her see him so I figured if we let her watch him it would be good for all of us..I just have a feeling it's a little soon

As long as you're confident in her caring for him, then do it. My son stayed at my parents house overnight  when he was 2 weeks old. I cried at first but it was nice to just have a night to be lazy, especially when recovering from a cesarean.

Pump right before you leave! The more you pump/nurse, your supply will know to keep making more. And your supply will go up! Try not to stay gone more than 2-3 hours (the time frame a baby feeds)

Personally I didn't leave the house without baby until he was 8 weeks because I didn't want to be in public with a pad and I leaked badly when baby wasn't around. Make sure to wear breast pads!

Yeah, get out for a few hours! It's so hard to get anytime alone with your SO while baby is so young, take advantage of it!
