Do you use sanitary wipes to wipe the cart handle off at the store before you use it?

Is it gross that I am not afraid of germs?? I promise I still wash my hands and such, but stuff like wiping down the cart doesn't bother me.

I've never felt a need to disinfect everything I touch. I have this wonderful thing that copes with germs in my environment and stops me from getting sick - an immune system.  I find it more convenient, effective and environmentally friendly than wipes.

If I can ride nyc subways without wiping everything down first, I can hold a shopping cart handle. I just always wash my hands after and don't touch my eyes, mouth or face until I wash my hands.

No I don't. But I did when my daughter was sitting in the cart and touching it and I will again when the baby is in that age.

The other day when I was at the grocery store I saw a girl with a red, swollen, puss filled eye TOUCH her eye, bare handed- then touched the damn cart handle!!! After that I will bring my own wipes to the stores from now on. I use to use the ones at the grocery stores but they're always dripping wet.

I drove home that day thinking , I need to get my flu shot soon.. 😁 lol

This is why kids immune systems suck. I have a friend who cloroxes every surface her kids touch every toy every day... they are sick almost every week and have had croup twice. There is such thing as too much sanitation. How else are they to build immunity, plus those wipes are 99.9% effective not 100

Nope. Germs are a healthy part of life. There is proof that children who grow up on farms have healthier immune systems because they are naturally exposed to more germs. I am more careful when my LO is newborn and doesn't have shots yet, after that, we just live. Germs happen. Wash your hands during the day and you'll be fine

No but I use hand sanitizer or wash my hands before I eat. I've got a good immune system, not afraid of giving it work to do.

I'm a germaphobe regardless and the unknown on those bars scare me. Sanitizing it probably doesn't do squat like I think it does, but it eases my mind.
