I am so frustrated I need to know what other girls experiences were with this. I have been back and forth with my doctor and insurance company. My doctor put in the request on Dec 3rd to an out of state lab that is associated with my insurance company.(the test is covered btw)They said they didn't receive it till the 7th. They have a lab in the state I'm in so I don't know why she would send out of state and because of this, it needs pre authorization which they said can take up to 14 days. I'm only anxious about why this is taking so long because of the 10-13 week window to get it done. My doctor had an email sent to hurry the process up but when I spoke to my insurance again, they said an email won't do anything and she needs to actually call to expedite things. So I sent her the number they gave me for her to call to do that. I hope that will do it. Did anyone else have this much trouble just to get this blood test done?? Something I thought would be simple has become so complicated 😕
