Out of pocket cost for D&E

Hey ladies! If you had a D&E or D&C, how much did you have to pay out of pocket? After insurance (United healthcare), my surgery cost a whopping $2,600. The hospital offered the option of payin up front, which I did, to get a 25% discount. It still ended up costing me $1,700 out of pocket. Doesn't that seem a little excessive? Before being knocked out with the anesthesia, I distinctly remember thinking "I can't believe this nurse has on an Apple Watch... Oh wait, for the money I just paid, I do believe it!" 😳😳
