Strep

I went to the doc today because I woke up with a very sore throat and aches and pain and at the doc at about 3:15 my temp was 99.9. They said my rapid test was negative which I have now researched and about a third of them are.  They are sending off for culture and I should know Monday. But I'm soo nervous about my little one. I'm 29 and 3 days. She told me to take Tylenol but I don't know if that's good enough? Anyone with experience or advice. I know listen to the doc. My ob was closed so went to general practitioner. My concern is the effects of fever and if I do have strep not treating it for 2 days :(
