Today I got the paraguard IUD and I have to say it hurt like a BITCH. I got home and was in severe pain for 8 hours, on a scale of 1-10 I would say my pain was an 8-9. My cramping was SO BAD. Now I am still in a decent amount of pain (about a 6) and my tummy is soooo bloated, it's terrible! Has this happened to anyone else? I called my doctor and she explained it was normal the first day and prescribed me a muscle relaxer. She said if I get a fever or if the pain gets worse over the weekend then to take a visit to the ER since she will not be working on the weekend... Anyone else have a painful expirence at first?
