Has anyone ever experienced their unborn baby seizing?

My doc said babies can have seizures in the womb.. but it's pretty rare in babies that have no health problems. I was just wondering if anyone here has actually had an unborn baby that seized in their womb & what it was like. Normal new born babies don't move very fast when they come out.. it seems like they move their arms and legs around fairly slow.. so it's just weird to me when it feels like ur baby is moving all crazy fast when she is inside you! Why would a baby be able to move so fast inside but not outside?! So I've worried my baby was seizing just cause she seriously moves so fast sometimes it's almost like a slow 
vibration! But not over the whole uterous, just in one spot where I can feel it's like kicks or punches. Anyways, just tryin to determine whether this sounds like a possible seizure or normal baby movements. Thanx

The babies nervous system is still developing, meaning that there are times where their arms or legs are over stimulated which causes them to shake, causing that vibration like feeling. It happens all the time for me and it's perfectly normal. Can even happen after they're born

My lo has shaken before but I've never considered it being a "seizure"....just regular movments..kinda like little tantrums lol

I have no idea really, but I would think it would be all over if it was a seizure.

My son would randomly punch my side like a professional boxer. And trust me it was fast. Definitley wasnt seizing. They can move faster because they're in fluid. There's no gravity. It's like being in a pool. I know when I take a bath I feel a lot lighter than when I get out.

Babies shake and wiggle a lot in utero. They are much more cozy in their amniotic fluid floating around in warmth and cushiness than they are when they are born into the cold uncomforting world. That's why water births are so popular. Shaking in utero hasn't happened to me, but it has for other women on this board and they will tell you it's normal. If there is no documented medical problem, I'd assume all is well. Statistically it likely is! Enjoy the movements of an active baby! They aren't all this way. My second child almost never moved in utero

I thought my first daughter had turrets syndrome when She would get theb hiccups.......lol I cried to my doctor and he laughed at me :"( it's funny now that i look back.

No my baby has never had a seizure...

This was literally happening to me a few days ago (28 weeks) and I freaked out and went to my doctor and it was hiccups. She said with the baby being in amniotic fluid, the hiccups can cause ripples that have a seizing sensation. Hope that helps:)

Actually newborn babies movement is very jerky...I definitely wouldn't call it slow. They don't have very good control of their musles so it's like little spasims. Also, newborn baby's have a startle reflex that cause them to throw out their arms as if they're falling. Totally normally to feel like you baby is bouncing around on a trampoline inside you. Lol
