Hot water bottle allowed?

Question

I love using my hot water bottle if I have any tummy ache or indigestion and I was wondering if I would be able to use it when I go into labour? I know contractions will be much more uncomfortable than normal tummy ache so it might be a waste of time! Has anyone else done this? Thank you in advance ☺️

Your not supposed to use hot water bottles on your stomach cause it can raise the baby's temperature but in your back is fine :)

They gave me hot pads for my back that helped a lot with my back labor. My contractions didn't really hurt to me it just felt like an intense stretching downstairs. So I'm not sure about using it during labor other than your back. For contractions the best thing for me was getting into "running" pose. The nurse gave me what they call a peanut and helped me get into position. I was 100% unmedicated and I regular contractions weren't so bad.
