Moms: When did you start taking your baby swimming?

Id like to start my baby as soon as possible(shes not here yet) but some of these articles say wait until a year old, and some say 6 months. When did you start?

I am a huge swimmer and I am due in June and my SO others family and I always go to the zoo/water park every year and August is best time. Do you think that would be to soon to take a 2 month old to a zoo and water park?

I don't have any children, but I grew up in a beach town, so my mom had us in the water pretty much as soon as possible. I can't ever remember not being able to swim or not being allowed in the water. My SIL started bringing her son into the pool last year at 4-5 months I believe and she teaches a swim classes for children as little as 6 months I believe (a mommy and me class), if that helps.

4 months :) heated pool. She's 3.5 now and a pool fanatic!!
