Weird period

So I was five days late, got my period yesterday. Typically my period is a really really heavy flow, but this time it is really light compared to what it normally is. I took a pregnancy test on Tuesday and a few people told me they thought the saw a start of a line, but I'm just really confused. Any thoughts?
