Personal choice for a convertible car seat?

Having trouble finding a good one for a good price. 
* First time mom here. *
Also, potentially one that fits to a stroller, (however the more I search the less likely that seems being that they're fairly pricy.)

Convertible car seat as in one that goes from newborn through toddler? Those are not made to fit into strollers. They are made to be buckled into the car and not removed.  Only the infant carrier/car seat fits on a stroller. Hope I didn't misunderstand? I agree with previous poster about Graco brand though. I found my travel system for $260 but it is on sale now for $200.

Convertible car seat means it goes rear facing and forward facing. Not meant to be a newborn/infant seat and will not fit with a stroller. There are some car seats that claim they work from infant until kid years but IMO they are not really safe for infants. My fave convertible car seat is the Maxi Cosi pria 85. Light weight, easy to get in and out of car, pad comes off easy for cleaning. Get a car seat that has a bottle/water bottle holder!

I am going with the Graco 4-ever all in one car seat for my second due in Sept. It goes from 4 lbs to 120 lbs and can rear face up to 40 lbs. I have always used graco for their quality and safety ratings for my first. I chose the 4-ever mostly because I won't have to buy a carrier then a convertible and then a booster (with removable high back). In the end the price tag I spend for this seat will add up to what I would have to pay for all of those seats. BTW convertible car seats are not made for strollers or shopping carts, they are meant to stay in the car. Only infant carriers are made to be removed and used in strollers.

Car seats for the littles! I follow on Facebook but they do have a website. They have helped me learn much about car seats. We ended up getting the graco 4ever because it's fairly compact for my Corolla but there are less expensive gracos that are just as easy to adjust etc.

I have this one. It was a good price and it'll work. It's super cute too. Good for rear facing up to 40 lbs and forward facing up to 65 lbs.

I've nannied kids for over two years, dealt with lots of car seats. My personal favorite is the diono! That thing is so solid, and super easy to install! Only reason I wouldn't recommend it is if you will be moving it to different cars a lot; it's very heavy!
