Spotting in pregnancy is NOT 'normal' or 'ok'

I'm am miscarrying as I type this. What started out as very light brown spotting on Sunday night has resulted in the loss of my baby at 6 weeks and turned into 'period like' blood and cramps. Every single thing I read, heard from people and googled said everything would be fine as long as there were no cramps and it was just brown spotting. I followed my maternal instinct and went to the doctor yesterday. A very underdeveloped yolk sack for 6 weeks was all that was detected. Nothing could be done but for me to go home and let nature take its course. So now I just get to sit here and wait for my body to 'expel what wasn't meant to be' Really?! Such an insensitive thing to say to a woman miscarrying!
If you are a pregnant woman, or know one, please do not write of mild/minor brown spotting as a normal thing that's ok in pregnancy! Normal would mean sharing our news with our other children and our family and friends this Christmas. This Christmas will be anything but 'normal'
