Large dogs and a baby

Does anyone else have large dogs and baby or pregnant at the time? We have 2 Great Danes, a 6 month old and a 9 month old. I'm 16 weeks now and haven't been too worried about how they are with me now and how they will be with the baby. However, my friend was telling me how I'll need to get rid of them and as large as they are they can easily harm/kill the baby. Of course the dogs will always be watched around the baby once it comes and they're around my nieces and nephews who are 8-1 years old and are fine. I'm not willing to give up my dogs, yet now my friend has me worried. Of course, this friend is almost always negative about everything anyway so I don't know if I should just brush it off.
