Tailbone pain??

Question

In the past day I've had a sudden onset of tailbone/coccyx pain. I think i injured my coccyx in the past because before I got pregnant I would get flare ups where it was tender. This pain seems more consistent/painful. I read something saying it could be related to pelvic floor shifting, but wanted to see if anyone else had experienced anything similar?

Yup! My tailbone wasn't "normal" for over a year after having my first, and now I'm pregnant again 6 years later and starting to feel the same pain at only 8 weeks!

Yes!! I am 11 weeks and have had tailbone pain on and off for a few weeks now! Some times my hips are sore and the pain travels to my knees..... Dr said its normal growing pains. I find a heat pack works and helps with the pain and some light stretching. I work full time at a pharmacy which requires standing so i need to change my shoes. Take it easy ladies

I sat on the boppy pillow to ease the pain of sitting-- doc suggested it.

Yes!!! Today my tailbone started hurting terrible. Could barely pick up my daughter. Incredible pain...anyone have any advise on how to relieve some of the pain??? I don't remember it with my first...how long does it last?!

Is the pain really sharp/intense for anyone else? I can see a red spot where it's swollen and it hurts a ton. Like I said, I've had it flare up in the past but this is definitely worse.

Oh my goodness!!! I was just talking to my husband about this today. We had our first appointment and after being there, the whole ride home my tail bone HURT! I haven't ever injured it so it was throwing me for a loop. I'm currently 9 weeks and 2 days!
