Beating rights?

Ok so some people were having an argument about this and I want some more opinions. If a woman is beating her man do you think he has the right to hit back?

People have a right to protect themselves. Period.

Yes. But all of it is still illegal: domestic abuse.  If a man is beating a woman is she allowed to hit him? Duh. It goes both ways. Honestly though, there must be something wrong with the person who thinks its ok to hit their SO, male or female. NEVER have I ever thought that hitting my husband would make things better. I've been angry but never has that crossed my mind.

If someone hits you you should use enough force necessary to defend yourself. So if a woman is beating a man, most men are strong enough to restrain her without hitting back. If that does not work he has every right to hit her enough to get her to stop and he should stop once she backs off.

Ask yourself this. If a human and a human are fighting and one hits the other, can the other hit back? Obviously yes, it's called self defence.

A woman shouldn't be hitting a man and a man shouldn't be hitting a woman. BUT if either thinks "lemme punch him/her in the face because I'm angry" then they BOTH have the right to hit whoever hit them first, back. Everyone has the right to defend themselves.
