Swelling near IV point?

Question

I had a D&C 3 weeks ago ad just noticed my vein is somewhat enlarged/sore/swollen half inch below the Iv point (they did it on the upper side of my hand). Anyone else have this?? I have no idea if it's something necessary to call the doctor about.

Put ice on it, go to er if warm, swelling, fever. Could be phlebitis.

Had the same thing about the same time frame. I just watched it and said if it got worse or didn't get better, I'd go in. It got better the next day. Took about 2 more days to really heal, but a week after d&c, It's just a dot on my skin.
