C section scars?

I'm considering getting one. But what about the scar after? I don't think they look terrible but I've honestly seen only two in person and they where roughly 5 inches but they where done over 15 years ago. Kinda intimidating. I know a lot of mothers feel vaginal birth is the way to go. But honestly I know my body and my limitations, so need be I need a c section I'm perfectly fine with it. I think I prefer one. but I'm curious about how others look?  If any mamas would like to post pictures of their proud mama scars I'd love to see them.

Had my c section 5 years ago and my scar is almost non existent. I am having a repeat on January 19, it's not as bad as everyone makes it seem. All birth stories are different it's all well worth when holding that sweet little one in your arms finally 🙂

I had my c section almost 8 years ago and the scar is so small and faded I couldn't get it to show up in a picture.

My sister had two c sections and a natural birth and she said she would have chosen the natural birth 100 times over the c section. She said the recovery time was hell with the c sections.

Mine is right on my underwear line and has faded a lot. It's honestly not noticeable. If they think you are headed toward a csection schedule it to avoid an emergency csection. I think they still do emergency csections vertical not horizontal which is much more noticeable.

I have had 2 c-sections, after the 1st one the scar was barely noticeable. About 5inches and super super thin and faint. Now my scar after my 2nd c-section is a little bit thicker, darker, longer, and puckers out a bit. It's been almost 2 years since my 2nd c-section. My first one I had staples used and the second one was just some kind of tape closure.

I assist in them and the incisions keep getting smaller and smaller! I've seen some really great unnoticeable scars. Might be smarter to ask for a suture closure instead of staples. Once in a while I see a previous staples scar that looks a little puckered.
