Which middle name??

Tragically I lost my father 2 days before finding out I'm expecting my first child. His name was Steven Ray. All the males in the family from my father to the last born grandson have Ray as a middle name. I'm torn between using Steven for my belated father or our family tradition of Ray. I'm not finding out the gender until birth but trying to have our names picked out. What do you guys think?

Even Ray for a first name for a girl! Otherwise it's hard for me to choose a middle name without knowing the first name choices

I vote Ray and DONT change the spelling. Keeping it the same keeps that real meaning. Who cares if it's typically a guy spelling...even if you have a girl!

You could use Ray and it could apply to either sex by changing the spelling to Rae. Just a though!

Both names are wonderful middle names. Can't go wrong with either one. See what first name you like and go from there. Sorry to hear about your father.

You could do either for a boy and if you really wanted to you could use Ray and a girls middle name and spell it area or Rhea or Ray.

I would choose both, Iam having all 3 male generation names for my sons name Albie Christopher-Henry my husbands name is Alan but everyone calls him Albie or al, my dad and hubby's dad first name is Christopher and my grandads name was Henry my first boy so wanted to choose all  those names :-)
