How many ounces does your 3 month old drink?

I am returning back to work in a few days and I am trying to decide whether i should increase the amount my mother will be giving my little one since i will not be able to breast feed during the day. I usually 3times a day, and on demand if my son wants a little more than the bottle. He will "snack" on my breast or take it as an appetizer in between feedings. He does not completely empty them and i guess uses it to fill up.

How much does your 3 month old drink? I dont want him to be hungry while i am at work.

General rule of thumb is 1oz/hour you're gone. So probably 3 ounce bottles every 3 hours or you could try 2 ounces every two if he eats more often at home. I would have an extra bottle (or some frozen milk) in smaller amounts like 1 or 1.5 that she can feed if he is fussy and nothing else works. If there's 4 ounces in the bottle he'll likely drink it whether he needs it or not. If you have the extra available then you can relax but also see if he's okay with the 1oz/hour. Our LO is at daycare from 7ish-430ish and drinks 16-20 oz while she's there. I BF when she's home, but she's only awake until about 8pm and then sleeps through the night. So, I think that's why she eats so much at daycare (she's not nursing much at home).
