I'm 37 and pregnant with #3 baby. My blood test and ultrasound shows signs that my baby has trisomy 18(Edwards syndrome). I did the amniocentesis yesterday hoping that it could be somethings else but it doesn't look good. The worst part is that after having two boys (who are perfectly healthy), we found out that baby #3 is a girl. I cried and very heart broken because we wanted a little girl. I may never try again after this if the amniocentesis comes back positive. Has anyone went through the blood work and ultrasound but the amniocentesis were negative? I'm trying to hold out hope but I'm realistic that I may have to say goodbye to the little girl I've always wanted.
