😒I don't think any churches of any faith should have political sway. While smaller churches don't exactly strike me as needing to pay taxes, big/mega churches should. However I am unsure as to how something like that would be implemented, and would have to look further into it to have a solid opinion on the matter.

Churches quite naturally hold positions that may favor one political side verses another, and i think it would be disingenuous of them to not try and defend any of their proclaimed beliefs, even in the political realm. I don't think that has any bearing on their tax exemption status, or should have any bearing either. If a non profit organization, who stayed true to their intended purpose, vocalized a political position, I don't think that should disqualify them from tax exemption. Otherwise it's like saying if a shelter for abused women made a political stance to protect women's rights then they should lose their tax exemption....
