Sex? Period? After Miscarriage.

Hi ladies....

I unfortunately had a Miscarriage at 5 weeks & 4 days just on Saturday, December 12th. I am heartbroken but trying to be positive.....it'll happen. But I just have a couple questions...

First one. How long until we can have sex again? I'm done bleeding just a little bit of brown discharge but super light. I have RT side cramping sometimes but that's because I have a 1cm cyst on my RT Ovary.

Second one. When will I get my period? I'm thinking I want to try once more and if no success do birth control for a while.

I don't see my OB GYN again until Wednesday, January 6th.

Do you ladies have any advice? Insight? Thank you so much.

I got my first period 28days after I started my miscarriage and we started having sex as soon as I was don't bleeding. It seemed that having that closeness was the only thing that would make the hurt stop for a while. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I had a miscarriage in September at 13 weeks then an dnc to get the reminder out. I bled for weeks but never got a period after that. I started taking opk tests a week or so after the bleeding stopped and it took about a month and a half to finally get a positive opk. Everyone is different I'm still nursing my almost two year old and I know for a fact that it affects my cycle. I just found out I'm pregnant. Good luck!

I had a chemical at 5.5weeks I was told I can try right away once bleeding has stopped but may not have an ovulatory cycle but it wouldn't hurt ... I am 3 weeks past chemical (about) and still no period and 5/6 days of + OPKs sorry for the loss and I wish you so much luck and a Merry Christmas

Sorry to hear that this has happened. I had my third miscarriage in November right before thanksgiving. I still haven't had my period but it came at 4 weeks and 6 weeks with the previous. I was ok to have sex this time after about two weeks and yes it was very slightly uncomfortable (but needed for tlc between us). My doctor recommended that I didn't get pregnant right away and suggested we give it a full month (and cycle) to try again.

I have had two mc and I'm so sorry it's the worst... It took me 6 weeks to get my period after mc and doc said I should wait one cycle before trying again. Hugs.

I've had 2 in a row. It sucks and I'm sorry you're going through this. My period arrived at the same time it would have normally after my first miscarriage in July. My OB told me to wait a cycle before ttc again. I just had my 2nd miscarriage Nov. 30. My OB told me to wait another cycle again but we aren't.

So....after the two weeks, can my SO and I stop using condoms? I really do not like them and plus he's allergic, his penis gets itchy. We started having sex again yesterday, it was 9 days after our loss. We are using condoms just so I do not get an infection. But I'm wondering if after two weeks we can stop using them?

My SO and I had sex last night 9 days after the miscarriage. It hurt only at first but then it was fine. And we are using condoms, even though he's allergic....we tried non latex ones.

My dr said we ciuld have sex after 2 weeks.  I had a natural miscarriage and didn't need a d&c.  My dr recommended waiting ince cycle to ttc.  He said period should come 4-6 weeks after miscarriage.
