TTC #1 @ 39
First off, I love this community.
I'm 39 married since August and TTC since April. We inadvertently (with no tracking) got pregnant on our honeymoon but I miscarried at 9 weeks and had a D&C on October 17th. It took five weeks for my period to come back. I started OPKs right after it ended and we BD on my 2 most fertile days. Now I'm waiting it out.
My periods due over the next couple day s - presuming that I'm on the same 28 day cycle as before.
One of my best friends is pregnant and it's so exciting but tempered with twinges of sadness.
I met with my new Obgyn and she's suggested medical intervention. The first step for that is a series of blood tests on the 3rd day of my period. I'm comforted by the fact that even if I don't get a BFP, I still have concrete actions to take. We wouldn't be able to afford the medical interventions she initially suggested (16K) BUT I'll be able to take wherever results come from the blood tests and seek out cheaper homeopathic alternatives.
