Rent to own home? Any experiences with this?

Just looking into some housing options and was wondering what in the heck "rent to own" actually means? Is it worth it? How does it work?

Answer

My husband was renting to own. It depends on the type of contract you get with them. Usually just means you tie into a co tract with the home owner that you are living there and paying towards the mortgage with the intent to own. And that if you don't pay they can kick you out, or if you find somewhere else it's possible for you to more without an issue. Do a lot of research before you tie yourself into a contract
