Dog senses labor?

Question

The past two days my dogs have been extremely cuddly. Laying on my stomach and following me EVERYWHERE. I'm 37+1 weeks. Has anyone had an experience of their dogs sensing you were going into labor? Is this a thing?

My dog has been with me a lot.  I feel like I'm being baby sat. She sits on my lap or sleeps next to me.  She sits and kisses my belly or puts her head on my belly. It melts my heart!

We have a almost 5 year old golden retriever, when my son was born 3 years ago, she acted as though he was her puppy from the get go. Now that I'm 38 weeks pregnant with my daughter, she has to be right with me. Her paw has to be touching me. If I pee she sits in front of me and stares at me, and her bed is on my husbands side of our bed but yet she will sleep on the cold floor to lay next to me. So we have had to move her bed next to me for anyone to get sleep. Not to mention a few days ago I began having some pretty intense false labor contractions, and she began to whine every time one would come on. It was precious. They absolutely know that something is going on.

My dog is the complete opposite. He could care less about me. The only time he cares to even look at me is when it's feeding time. Lately he's been a little terror getting into things. You ladies are lucky!

I think they do. Im 36 weeks and my border collie has totally changed the last few days. Shes super cuddly and clingy with me. She sleeps next to me every morning after my hubby gets up for work, she always has to lay on me or next to me, even while we are on the couch. She follows me to the bathroom everytime i pee and lays on the cold floor when i shower. Last night she even put up a tiff when we tried to remove her from my lap. Its so silly but i think she senses the time is near.

My two dogs have been the exact same way I'll be 37 wkz tmrw
One of them was sick so I understand that but now that he's feeling better still has to be right by me snuggling my belly which he's not much of a snuggle bug. The other has always been a very sweet cuddly dog but now I feel shes is even more, has to sleep with head on my belly and cuddle up next to it Like she's the baby( even though she normally thinks she is)

I'm not sure if mine senses it but I'm 38w2d and whenever I am home, my dog follows me. Even when my husband puts his harness on to take him out, he will sit and pull towards me in protest and I have to pretend I'm going with him to leave the apartment.
He's been so much more clingy since I hit the 36 week mark

I have four dogs and they are all super clingy lately! I'm 37+2 and midwife wants him outta me by 39 weeks, lol. 2cm dilated at 37 weeks
