To vape or not to vape???

I am currently a vaper.  I am wondering how many other ladies vape? This app says I am 5 weeks and 4 days. I am wondering if and when I should stop... I need input.

Before the ignorance piles in, I'll nip this in the bud.

Good vape juice does not have toxic chemicals or really many chemicals at all. It is actually food grade with generally 4 ingredients. That is if you go to a reputable vape shop and not a random gas station. Also, there is such thing as 0 nicotine juice, so keep that in mind (which would make there 3 ingredients in some brands). There is also organic cotton as well, or most people boil it and set it out before use to avoid any chemical ingestion.

Therefore, no it is not toxic. It is not worse than or as bad as cigarettes, nor is it filled with chemicals. And those who run their mouth about that are ignorant to the company, products, or vaping in general.

Also, the study that was done saying it contained formaldehyde was incorrect and done with inappropriate testing methods. The popcorn lung study was not about vape juice in general. It was about an ingredient found in an ingredient within the artificial flavoring which is not only used in vape juice NOR used in all vape juice.

So. Just shooting all that nonsense down before people start rambling ignorance.

However, I still don't think it is okay to vape while pregnant. Reason being, is there haven't been enough studies to show it's effect on the fetus. Not everything that is okay for us to do is okay for fetuses to be exposed to. So, no. I don't find it safe while pregnant.

I'll probably get hate for this but here goes:

I'm currently 4w6d with baby number 2. I vape. With baby number 1 I smoked cigarettes.

When you smoke cigarettes, you're releasing around 4000 chemicals into your body. Including tar.

I make my own e-liquid. Which consists of:

Natural flavouring (1ml)
Nicotine (1ml) 
Propylene Glycol (PG) (4ml)
Vegetable Glycerine (VG)  (4ml)

Both PG and VG are registered with the FDA.

If it was between smoking or vaping, I'd say vaping poses a much lower risk.

However, if you can successfully do neither, I would quit.

I'd stop now. I smoked ciggs and as soon as I got my bfp I quit. My husband smoked too and also quit a week after I did! He says if I can't smoke then he won't either :)

There are toxins in vaping they haven't even been able to fully study yet. I would not advise smoking anything during pregnancy. Talk to your doctor.

I vaped before I found out i was pregnant. I quit smoking cigs like a little over a year ago, started vaping since then and just stopped when I found out i was. It was very easy! Way easier than stopping cigs!

I went from smoking to vaping in an effort to quit. By the time I found out I was pregnant I was down to little to no nicotine.  As soon as I got my bfp I stopped period. Even though I knew what was in my e liquid  (smaller company made it and said just 4 ingredients including flavor and nicotine). I did not know what it would do to my baby so I didn't want to chance anything.
