Cleaning are important (I would even go more often for cleanings if possible to help with puffy gums) avoid x-rays and if you NEED work done you can get local anastasia and fillings/extractions durring the second trimester. Always inform your hygienist or dentist that you are expecting and how far along you are at the beginning of the appointment.
