When should you start buying diapers?

Question

when do you start buying and what size do you get? I kind of want to wait until the doctor gives me their weight and length measurements but then I'll have to rush and stock up on diapers.  what will you or are you doing? what size are you getting and why?

The very beginning. All sizes you can. I wouldn't get much NB diapers though. Size 1 will run out fast (if you have a baby in the 80th percentile) maybe just buy a box per size

With both my babies I started basically as soon as I found out. I coupon and clearance shop, use gift cards etc. I found an article on Pinterest that had a suggestion on how many of each size so stock to and what's the best price per diaper. So that's what I did and my 1st is one and I still haven't had to buy a diaper. 1 bought sizes from 1-5 and just kept track of what I had. If she needed to size up before we used all of a certain size most of the time I could return them at Walmart for a gift card to buy bigger sizes later.

I'm doing cloth and plan to buy at least a few a month.   I've already bought quite a few inserts.

Personally I wouldn't buy but maybe one pack of NB and a few packs of size 1. My last baby was 9 lbs and 9 oz and never fit into NB and we had bought like 3 packs that we never used and had no size 1. We are going to be much better prepared this time.

After our first ultrasound, we started to buy diapers. At the end of each month we either get diapers or wet wipes. With our stash at this stage, we have enough for a couple of months without worrying to go to the shops! Ps. I don't know if other brands has the same, but pampers premuim gas umbilical cord friendly diapers in newborn and nr 1's!

I've been buying whenever I see them on clearance and from Facebook resale sites (I'm 15.1wks). So far I have a box of size 1, 2 boxes of size 2, and a small pack of a newborn and size 1. Going to do a diaper raffle like I did with my oldest so that I'll get plenty of diapers! Size I'm not sure about, my son was too small for newborn sizes when he was born, he was in premie diapers for months and when he was out of diapers at 3yrs old, he was barely in a size 3 diaper! I'm gonna play the sizes by ear and keep my receipts!
