Burning nipples?

Question

My nipples have been burning!! I dont see any white spots in baby's mouth... Could it stillf be thrush? Any other possibilities? I plan to call the doctor in the morning to be safe.

I just got back from the pediatrician and my son has thrush. On friday he had no signs but we started having trouble breastfeeding. Saturday I started having little red bumps on my right breast and lots of burning after feeding. Yesterday I woke up with a huge red burning rash on my right nipple and he had two white spots in his mouth. This morning my rash was worse and he has lots of white spots. So I would say yes it could be an early sign of thrush.

Following. No white spots on me or in baby's mouth but my nipples burn occasionally. I think it may be a growth spurt for her and she's constantly on the breast!!
