Pregnancy Announcement???

Question

When have you all announced your pregnancy to family and friends? At how many weeks? I'm 5wk3days but I'm a little apprehensive to announce so early.

Told our families at 6 weeks. Will tell everyone else at 12 weeks.

I told my parents and closest friends right away. Why wouldn't you!? As for telling everyone else, we're waiting until 12-20 weeks. We haven't decided. We both have large families and they can be dramatic and catty. The last time I was pregnant it ended in miscarriage and we had told people. I was 8 weeks along, I had an US and everything was fine. I ended up having a miscarriage at 10 weeks. One of my husbands cousins had the nerve to make a comment at one of the family functions "I wondered why you didn't wait until 12 weeks to tell everyone." I wanted to slap her. None the less, I'll tell the masses when I'm ready. The people closest to me know and can share the excitement.

We already told our parents, but asked them not to tell anyone yet. I want to wait till I am at least 12 weeks

We just told our families this past weekend at 7 weeks. We figure if the worst was to happen we would be telling them anyway. We just asked that they keep it off of social media until we post something on there and, so far we haven't had any problems with it!
