Time to throw in the towel???

Question

I've been with my so for almost 10 years, we have a daughter who will be 8 in june. He proposed to me 7 years ago but marriage has never come up since. I want him to either marry me or leave me. Is it wrong to give him an ultimatum? When we argue he tells me he's pretty much only with me because he doesn't want to pay child support but then says something completely different when were not fighting.

If he's  saying  nasty/ hateful stuff like that. Yeah your justified.  No reason holding  on to someone for that long and not making a comment.

Why would you want to marry a man who doesn't really want to be with you? That's going to be miserable. Cut your losses and leave.

That's what I did and it changed everything for the better. He realized he didn't want to be without me and how much he really loved me. We were married shortly after and are very happy :) I know it's not common for things to work out that way, but it's possible!

That's a terrible way to look at it. If it was that easy to give him an ultimatum I'd think he wasn't really worth it and make the decision myself to leave. You shouldn't leave your future to someone elses choice.

Just split with long term relationship. It's shit but I am strong and will get trough it. And so will you, if he's not willing to give all then start standing up for you.

I think that ultimatum is a bit extreme. I wouldn't think of saying to my partner marry me or leave
