TMI:How to remove pubic hair for sensitive skin?

This is extremely embarrassing. I have very long coarse pubic hair and I have very sensitive skin. I can't get waxed so that's out of the option. I tried to trim down with scissors but that doesn't really help. My pubic hair is long and grows to about 2 inches. ( Disgusting, I know.) Do any of you ladies have this same problem? Please help! I hate this. I don't have a boyfriend so I'm the only one seeing my vulva but I cannot stand this anymore. Are there certain techniques I can use to help my soothe my skin?

I haven't tried yet BUT there is a cream from pure romance that is a shaving conditioner that is supposed to not allow razor burn. I was getting awful yeast infections so I was told not to shave down there any more and so I just trim it with scissors to keep it short
