Joint Facebook Account?

Question

Why do people dating, together and or married make joint married accounts...is it more on the good side or bad side ? Like it is for fear of trusting that other person or what if you are married and in late 30's... I'm confused because I've seen various accounts like that.

Some couples just don't feel a need to have separate accounts. My aunt and uncle share an account. My boyfriends parents share an account. They've been married for decades. Their friends are their friends as a couple. 
I think it's each persons decision to have individual or joint accounts. My boyfriend and I have separate accounts because it would be such a hassle to merge them and quite frankly we've never even discussed doing it. Just not something on our lists that we worry about since neither of us use it very frequently.

My parents have a joint account but that's because they have no idea how to work Facebook. I've even sat down and had "lessons" with my mom and she doesn't understand the difference between news feed, her wall, or anything. It cracks me up :)

When old people (60s+) do it, it's because they don't really know how to work it and don't use it often.

When younger people do it it's trust issues and past infidelities

My fiancé and I have separate accounts. We leave them logged in constantly on our phones, and sometimes on the computer. If he were to hop on right now and pull up facebook, mine would be completely open to him. Not because it has to be. Just because I tell it to leave me logged in :D it makes it quicker to find what I'm looking for when I don't have to log him out and then log myself in. Either way. We could probably have a joint account, mainly because he's on a lot less than I am (I'm in a few groups I like to keep up on) he mostly just pops in once a week and browses. Since he's not on often and both our families are on mine, in that aspect it would make sense. At the same time though I have lady friends I chat with about lady things. I'm sure they wouldn't like him seeing those conversations. One got a little tipsy one night and send some "sexy" pics. Mostly just her in her nighty and such saying she felt sexy. She was super embarrassed the next day that she had even sent them to her closest friends. Not sure she would have felt any better had my fiancé seen them as well. I have another friend who shares infertility in common with me and we chat a lot about that. I'm sure she wouldn't like him hearing about hormones and her cm and sex schedule. It's just easier to keep it separate.
