How do you put your cups in the cupboard?

Facing down, and here's a little story about why:
My mother in law used to have her cups facing up, one day, I believe it was New Years or something because a lot of the cups were being used that night, I reached in to the back of the cupboard and got one of the last cups... Looked in and there was a cobweb and a dead spider inside! It was so gross! After that we told my in-laws and they flipped them... It also made sense to me why my mom had all her cups flipped upside down too! In my childhood home we had a lot of spiders and scorpions so she was keeping them out of the cups! (We lived out in the boonies I was never in any danger, never been stung by a scorpion, only minor spider bites when I got lazy about cleaning my room)

Facing down except coffee cups because I have them in a cupboard with a glass front. And our regular drinking glasses (mason jar with handles) are in there too, they are used too often to gather dust.
