Demon or Angel?

I hope this is the appropriate place to ask for anyone who knows or has experienced something like this.

One morning I woke up and saw my daughter at my SO'S side of the bed staring at him. I called out to her... nothing. I called her again, more worried ... no answer. She turned and left. Ok... so I lay there and think for a minute. I go to her room to check on her and find her asleep. Also her hair is totally different than what I saw. Suddenly I was freaked out.

I was completely awake. I didn't see this beings face at all. Just a forehead and hair exactly like my dd. It was silent, didn't say anything or do anything it was just staring at my SO. HE was so scared and said I shouldn't have told him I saw it. I believe in spirits but I've never seen an apparition before that point. I know it wasn't my child... I wasn't afraid until I thought it was dd sleepwalking or that she wasn't ok. Other than that I felt nothing toward the being. Help?!
